two weeks ago, worst nightmare status happened @ my scalp.
after a year of procrastination, i had finally made an appointment to have my hairs TRIMMED. pretty straight forward stuff. i’ve been going to the same stylist for about three or four years, so i made the foolish assumption that she was aware of what she was doing and just asked for my hair to be cut the same length as she had cut it the LAST FOUR TIMES. hand gestures were involved for specificity and she got down to work.
cut to me an hour later, fighting back tears and trying desperately to remain calm. i’ve been known to overreact when i get my hair cut (OH MY GOD IT’S SO SHORT LOLZ) but this time something bad had really happened- i could feel a breeze on my neck. and not just some slight ventilation dude- a straight up BREEZE ON MY NECK. i have thick hair so in ideal conditions such a thing is simply not possible. until now. now, i’ve got a tremendously short mane of curly, unruly asymmetrically cut hair that leaves my entire neck exposed to the elements IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER.
i cried, i pouted, i neglected to tip.
i’ll tell y’all- i’ve learned my lesson. i’m bringing pictures next time.
